Originating in Asia, the nobility of Japan and China have been using these for centuries. The silkworms that produce the 100% silk filling are fed on organic mulberry leaves, with the whole duvet being made by hand. The sheets of silk floss are stretched by hand to the required size, and layered evenly in a criss – cross pattern to the required size.


They have a 100% cotton cover, are light and soft, which enables them to conform to the body’s contours, eliminating cold air pockets which can occur with heavy bulky doonas. The silk filling inside a Queen size Lightweight Doona comes in at just .7kg (700 grams). They are magnificent for anyone with an arthritic condition, or an allergy sufferer.


Our lightweight ones are equivalent to about a blanket and a half in the old scale.

250 Count

Probably our most popular material. We now stock everything from size 2 boys boxer shorts, through to King doonas in this material. We have sold a lot of these sets to                B &'Bs all over Australia, and this stripe is used in many 5 star hotels on their doonas. A very easy and pratical way to smarten up a room can be as simple as a doona in this material. These sheets have a great feel to them and you will enjoy them for years to come. 400 Count
These are the sheets that make sleeping in compulsory. Spoil yourself with the 400 thread counts silky texture. Of course made from 100% cotton, with all the Kent & McKenzie extras that come in our sets, these sheets represents magnificent value for money. A greatbonus with these sheets is, in summer they will dry on the line in about 10 minutes.

1400 Count (yes, fourteen hundred)

These can probably be passed down to the next generation. You will be flat out to wear them out in a lifetime. Made from incredibly fine cotton sewn incredibly tightly these sheets are as good as it gets. To give you some idea of the amount of cotton in a set of these sheets, they weigh about twice as much as a set of the 250 count. A magnificent winter sheet to be tucked up under.

European Pillows

To finish off your bedroom, or for that matter any sofa in any room of the house, what about a European pillow from our collection.

The pillows are of course all 100% cotton, and have the same button style closure as the doonas, along with a 50 mm flange all the way around. They come in in the 250 thread count (self stripen and plain),along with the 400 thread count.

King Pillows

These pillow are becoming more and more popular, and we also stock the hard to get pillows to go inside our pillow cases.

The cases come in three different materials, the 250 plain or self stripe, along with the 400 thread count material. We offer the option of a flange or just plain in all the thread counts. PS; These pillows suit a single sized bed perfectly!

We sell all these items in either the 400TC or Self stripe material.

The Boxer shorts are just that, Boxer shorts.
They come in either material with a button fly, with sizing Small to XX Large.


We also have a limited number of boys boxers in the self stripe, sizes 2 to 5 (about 2 years old till 4 or 5 years). These are in the self stripe only with a closed front. Bit of fun for the boys to match dad in his.


Our new line of PJ’s are now getting very very popular with the women. Bit like the boxer shorts, except a bit longer and looser fit with a closed front, elastic waist and drawstring, they are great to go to bed in or just wearing around the house after a shower etc. Again, available in 400TC or Self Stripe in Small to XX Large.


The nighties are just that. Nighties. Very simple, knee length, round neck in either fabric. At our prices you will not find better value.

Made from soft 300 thread count or the 250 self stripe cotton, these sets will ensure your baby has a good night sleep. Also available is a cot sized dooa measuring 120 cm  x  140 cm in the self stripe.

Sets include a fitted sheet and a generous top sheet. As with all Kent & McKenzie sheet sets, the top sheets have a 75mm turn back and 20mm hemming on the remaining sides.
